When she and the members of her household were , she invited us to her home. "If you consider me a in the Lord," she said, "come and stay at my house." And she persuaded us.

Once when we were going to the place of prayer, we were met by a slave girl who had a spirit by which she predicted the future. She earned a great deal of money for her owners by fortune-telling.
后来，我们往那祷告的地方去。有一个使女迎着面来，她被巫鬼所附，用法术叫她主人们大得财利。
徒16:17
This girl followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting, "These men are servants of the Most High God, who are telling you the way to be saved."

She kept this up for many days. Finally Paul became so troubled that he turned around and said to the spirit, "In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her!" At that moment the spirit left her.

About midnight Paul and were praying and singing to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them.

Suddenly there was such a that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everybody's chains .
忽然地大震动，甚至监牢的地基都摇动了，监门立刻全开，众囚犯的锁链也都松开了。

The woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped.
禁卒一醒，看见监门全开，以为囚犯已经逃走，就拔刀要自杀。
徒16:28
But Paul shouted, "Don't harm yourself! We are all here!"
保罗大声呼叫说：“不要伤害自己！我们都在这里。”
徒16:29

禁卒叫人拿灯来，就跳进去，战战兢兢地俯伏在保罗、西拉面前，

He then brought them out and asked, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"
又领他们出来，说：“二位先生，我当怎样行才可以得救？”
徒16:31
They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved -- you and your household."
他们说：“当信主耶稣，你和你一家都必得救。”
徒16:32
Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house.
他们就把主的道讲给他和他全家的人听。
徒16:33
At that hour of the night the took them and washed their wounds; then immediately he and all his family were .
当夜，就在那时候，禁卒把他们带去，洗他们的伤；他和属乎他的人立时都受了洗。
徒16:34
The brought them into his house and set a meal before them; he was filled because he had come to believe in God -- he and his whole family.
于是禁卒领他们上自己家里去，给他们摆上饭。他和全家，因为信了 神，都很喜乐。

When it was , the magistrates sent their officers to the jailer with the order: "Release those men."
到了天亮，官长打发差役来说：“释放那两个人吧！”

The jailer told Paul, "The magistrates have ordered that you and be released. Now you can leave. Go in peace."
禁卒就把这话告诉保罗，说：“官长打发人来叫释放你们。如今可以出监，平平安安地去吧！”
徒16:37
But Paul said to the officers: "They beat us publicly without a trial, even though we are Roman citizens, and threw us into prison. And now do they want us quietly? No! Let them come themselves and us out."
保罗却说：“我们是罗马人，并没有定罪，他们就在众人面前打了我们，又把我们下在监里，现在要私下撵我们出去吗？这是不行的。叫他们自己来领我们出去吧！”
徒16:38
The officers reported this to the magistrates, and when they heard that Paul and Silas were Roman citizens, they were alarmed.
差役把这话回禀官长。官长听见他们是罗马人，就害怕了，
徒16:39
They came to them and them from the prison, requesting them to leave the city.
于是来劝他们，领他们出来，请他们离开那城。

After Paul and Silas came out of the prison, they went to Lydia's house, where they met with the brothers and encouraged them. Then they left.
二人出了监，往吕底亚家里去，见了弟兄们，劝慰他们一番，就走了。
