诗55:1
Listen to my prayer, O God, do not ignore my plea;
(大卫的训诲诗,交与伶长,用丝弦的乐器) 神啊,求你留心听我的祷告,不要隐藏不听我的恳求!


诗55:2
hear me and answer me. My thoughts trouble me and I am distraught
求你侧耳听我,应允我。我哀叹不安,发声唉哼。


诗55:3
at the voice of the enemy, at the stares of the wicked; for they bring down suffering upon me and revile me in their anger.
都因仇敌的声音,恶人的欺压,因为他们将罪孽加在我身上,发怒气逼迫我。


诗55:4
My heart is in anguish within me; the terrors of death assail me.
我心在我里面甚是疼痛,死的惊惶临到我身。

Fear and trembling have beset me; horror has overwhelmed me.
恐惧战兢归到我身,惊恐漫过了我。

I said, "Oh, that I had the wings of a dove! I would fly away and be at rest --
我说:“但愿我有翅膀像鸽子,我就飞去得享安息。

I would flee far away and stay in the desert; Selah
我必远游,宿在旷野。(细拉)

I would hurry to my place of shelter, far from the tempest and storm."
我必速速逃到避所,脱离狂风暴雨。”


诗55:9
Confuse the wicked, O Lord, confound their speech, for I see violence and strife in the city.
主啊,求你吞灭他们,变乱他们的舌头,因为我在城中见了强暴争竞的事。


诗55:10
Day and night they prowl about on its walls; malice and abuse are within it.
他们在城墙上昼夜绕行,在城内也有罪孽和奸恶。


诗55:11
Destructive forces are at work in the city; threats and lies never leave its streets.
邪恶在其中,欺压和诡诈不离街市。


诗55:12
If an enemy were insulting me, I could endure it; if a foe were raising himself against me, I could hide from him.
原来不是仇敌辱骂我,若是仇敌,还可忍耐;也不是恨我的人向我狂大,若是恨我的人,就必躲避他。


诗55:13
But it is you, a man like myself, my companion, my close friend,
不料是你!你原与我平等,是我的同伴,是我知己的朋友。

with whom I once enjoyed sweet fellowship as we walked with the throng at the house of God.
我们素常彼此谈论,以为甘甜,我们与群众在 神的殿中同行。


诗55:15
Let death take my enemies by surprise; let them go down alive to the grave, for evil finds lodging among them.
愿死亡忽然临到他们,愿他们活活地下入阴间;因为他们的住处,他们的心中,都是邪恶。

But I call to God, and the LORD saves me.
至于我,我要求告 神,耶和华必拯救我。


诗55:17
Evening, morning and noon I cry out in distress, and he hears my voice.
我要晚上、早晨、晌午哀声悲叹,他也必听我的声音。

He ransoms me unharmed from the battle waged against me, even though many oppose me.
他救赎我命脱离攻击我的人,使我得享平安,因为与我相争的人甚多。


诗55:19
God, who is enthroned forever, will hear them and afflict them -- Selah men who never change their ways and have no fear of God.
那没有更变、不敬畏 神的人,从太古常存的 神必听见而苦待他。


诗55:20
My companion attacks his friends; he violates his covenant.
他背了约,伸手攻击与他和好的人。

His speech is smooth as butter, yet war is in his heart; his words are more soothing than oil, yet they are drawn swords.
他的口如奶油光滑,他的心却怀着争战;他的话比油柔和,其实是拔出来的刀。


诗55:22
Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.
你要把你的重担卸给耶和华,他必抚养你,他永不叫义人动摇。


诗55:23
But you, O God, will bring down the wicked into the pit of corruption; bloodthirsty and deceitful men will not live out half their days. But as for me, I trust in you.
神啊,你必使恶人下入灭亡的坑;流人血、行诡诈的人必活不到半世。但我要倚靠你。
