So Ish-Bosheth gave orders and had her taken away from her husband son of .

Abner also spoke to the in person. Then he went to to tell David everything that Israel and the whole house of wanted to do.
押尼珥也用这话说给便雅悯人听。又到希伯仑，将以色列人和便雅悯全家一切所喜悦的事说给大卫听。

When Abner, who had twenty men with him, came to David at , David prepared a for him and his men.
押尼珥带着二十个人，来到希伯仑见大卫，大卫就为押尼珥和他带来的人设摆筵席。

Then Abner said to David, "Let me go at once and assemble all Israel for my lord the king, so that they may make a with you, and that you may rule over all that your heart desires." So David sent Abner away, and he went in peace.

Just then David's men and returned from a raid and brought with them a great deal of . But Abner was no longer with David in , because David had sent him away, and he had gone in peace.

Now when Abner returned to Hebron, took him aside into the , as though to speak with him . And there, to the blood of his brother , Joab him in , and he died.

你手未曾捆绑，脚未曾锁住，你死如人死在罪孽之辈手下一样。”于是，众民又为押尼珥哀哭。

Then they all came and urged David to eat something while it was still day; but David , saying, "May God deal with me, be it ever so severely, if I taste bread or anything else before the sun sets!"
日头未落的时候，众民来劝大卫吃饭，但大卫起誓说：“我若在日头未落以前吃饭，或吃别物，愿 神重重地降罚与我！”

All the people took note and were pleased; indeed, everything the king did pleased them.
众民知道了，就都喜悦。凡王所行的，众民无不喜悦。

So on that day all the people and all Israel knew that the king had no part in the murder of Abner son of .

Then the king said to his men, "Do you not realize that a prince and a great man has fallen in Israel this day?
