民25:1
While Israel was staying in Shittim, the men began to indulge in sexual immorality with Moabite women,
以色列人住在什亭，百姓与摩押女子行起淫乱。


民25:2
who invited them to the sacrifices to their gods. The people ate and bowed down before these gods.
因为这女子叫百姓来，一同给她们的 神献祭，百姓就吃她们的祭物，跪拜她们的 神。


民25:3
So Israel joined in worshiping the Baal of Peor. And the LORD'S anger burned against them.
以色列人与巴力毗珥连合，耶和华的怒气就向以色列人发作。


民25:4
The LORD said to Moses, "Take all the leaders of these people, kill them and expose them in broad daylight before the LORD, so that the LORD'S fierce anger may turn away from Israel."
耶和华吩咐摩西说：“将百姓中所有的族长在我面前对着日头悬挂，使我向以色列人所发的怒气可以消了。”


民25:5
So Moses said to Israel's judges, "Each of you must put to death those of your men who have joined in worshiping the Baal of Peor."
于是，摩西吩咐以色列的审判官说：“凡属你们的人，有与巴力毗珥连合的，你们各人要把他们杀了。”


民25:6
Then an Israelite man brought to his family a Midianite woman right before the eyes of Moses and the whole assembly of Israel while they were weeping at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.
摩西和以色列全会众正在会幕门前哭泣的时候，谁知，有以色列中的一个人，当他们眼前，带着一个米甸女人到他弟兄那里去。

When Phinehas son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, the priest, saw this, he left the assembly, took a spear in his hand
祭司亚伦的孙子、以利亚撒的儿子非尼哈看见了，就从会中起来，手里拿着枪，


民25:8
and followed the Israelite into the tent. He drove the spear through both of them -- through the Israelite and into the woman's body. Then the plague against the Israelites was stopped;
跟随那以色列人进亭子里去，便将以色列人和那女人由腹中刺透。这样，在以色列人中瘟疫就止息了。


民25:9
but those who died in the plague numbered 24,000.
那时遭瘟疫死的，有二万四千人。


民25:10
The LORD said to Moses,
耶和华晓谕摩西说：


民25:11
"Phinehas son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, the priest, has turned my anger away from the Israelites; for he was as zealous as I am for my honor among them, so that in my zeal I did not put an end to them.
“祭司亚伦的孙子，以利亚撒的儿子非尼哈，使我向以色列人所发的怒消了，因他在他们中间，以我的忌邪为心，使我不在忌邪中把他们除灭。


民25:12
Therefore tell him I am making my covenant of peace with him.
因此，你要说：'我将我平安的约赐给他。


民25:13
He and his descendants will have a covenant of a lasting priesthood, because he was zealous for the honor of his God and made atonement for the Israelites."
这约要给他和他的后裔，作为永远当祭司职任的约，因他为 神有忌邪的心，为以色列人赎罪。'”


民25:14
The name of the Israelite who was killed with the Midianite woman was Zimri son of Salu, the leader of a Simeonite family.
那与米甸女人一同被杀的以色列人，名叫心利，是撒路的儿子，是西缅一个宗族的首领。


民25:15
And the name of the Midianite woman who was put to death was Cozbi daughter of Zur, a tribal chief of a Midianite family.
那被杀的米甸女人，名叫哥斯比，是苏珥的女儿，这苏珥是米甸一个宗族的首领。

The LORD said to Moses,
耶和华晓谕摩西说：

"Treat the Midianites as enemies and kill them,
“你要扰害米甸人，击杀他们，

because they treated you as enemies when they deceived you in the affair of Peor and their sister Cozbi, the daughter of a Midianite leader, the woman who was killed when the plague came as a result of Peor."
因为他们用诡计扰害你们，在毗珥的事上，和他们的姊妹米甸首领的女儿哥斯比的事上，用这诡计诱惑了你们。这哥斯比当瘟疫流行的日子，因毗珥的事被杀了。”
