Then the word of the LORD came me, saying,
耶利米说，耶和华的话临到我说：
耶1:5
Before I formed in the belly I knew ; and before forth out of the I , and I a the nations.
“我未将你造在腹中，我已晓得你；你未出母胎，我已分别你为圣；我已派你作列国的先知。”
耶1:6
Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! , I cannot speak: for I am a child.
我就说：“主耶和华啊，我不知怎样说，因为我是年幼的。”
耶1:7
But the LORD said me, Say not, I am a child: for go to all that I shall send , and I command thee speak.
耶和华对我说：“你不要说'我是年幼的'，因为我差遣你到谁那里去，你都要去；我吩咐你说什么话，你都要说。
耶1:8
Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, .
你不要惧怕他们，因为我与你同在，要拯救你。这是耶和华说的。”
耶1:9
Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, , I have put my words in mouth.
于是耶和华伸手按我的口，对我说：“我已将当说的话传给你。
耶1:10
See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.
看哪！我今日立你在列邦列国之上，为要施行拔出、拆毁、毁坏、倾覆，又要建立、栽植。”
耶1:11
Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, , what ? And I said, I see of an .
耶和华的话又临到我说：“耶利米，你看见什么？”我说：“我看见一根杏树枝。”
耶1:12
Then said the LORD unto me, well seen: for I will my word to perform it.
耶和华对我说：“你看得不错；因为我留意保守我的话，使得成就。”
耶1:13
And the word of the LORD came unto me the second time, saying, What thou? And I said, I see a pot; and the face is toward the north.
耶和华的话第二次临到我说：“你看见什么？”我说：“我看见一个烧开的锅，从北而倾。”
耶1:14
Then the LORD said unto me, Out of the north an evil shall break forth upon all the of the land.
耶和华对我说：“必有灾祸从北方发出，临到这地的一切居民。”
耶1:15
For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, ; and they shall come, and they shall set every one his at the entering of the gates of , and against all the walls round about, and against all the cities of .
耶和华说：“看哪！我要召北方列国的众族，他们要来，各安座位在耶路撒冷的城门口，周围攻击城墙，又要攻击犹大的一切城邑。
耶1:16
And I will my judgments against them touching all their , who have me, and have unto other gods, and the works of their own hands.
至于这民的一切恶，就是离弃我，向别 神烧香，跪拜自己手所造的，我要发出我的判语攻击他们。
耶1:17
Thou therefore , and arise, and speak unto them all that I command thee: be not their faces, I thee before them.
所以你当束腰，起来将我所吩咐你的一切话告诉他们。不要因他们惊惶，免得我使你在他们面前惊惶。
耶1:18
For, , I have made thee this day a city, and an iron , and walls against the whole land, against the kings of , against the princes , against the priests , and against the people of the land.
看哪！我今日使你成为坚城、铁柱、铜墙，与全地和犹大的君王、首领、祭司，并地上的众民反对。
耶1:19
