And of the LORD was in the country of the seven months.
耶和华的约柜在非利士人之地七个月。
撒上6:2
And the called for the priests and the , saying, What shall we do to of the LORD? tell us we shall send it to his place.
非利士人将祭司和占卜的聚了来，问他们说：“我们向耶和华的约柜应当怎样行？请指示我们用何法将约柜送回原处。”

And they said, If ye send away of the God of Israel, send it not empty; but return him a offering: then ye shall be , and it shall be known to you why his hand is not removed from you.
他们说：“若要将以色列 神的约柜送回去，不可空空地送去，必要给他献赔罪的礼物，然后你们可得痊愈，并知道他的手为何不离开你们。”
撒上6:4
Then said they, What shall be the offering which we shall return to him? They answered, Five golden , and five golden mice, according to the number of the lords of the : for one was on you all, and on your lords.
非利士人说：“应当用什么献为赔罪的礼物呢？”他们回答说：“当照非利士首领的数目，用五个金痔疮，五个金老鼠，因为在你们众人和你们首领的身上都是一样的灾。
撒上6:5
ye shall make images of your , and images of your mice that the land; and ye shall give glory the God of Israel: he will his hand from off you, and from off your gods, and from off your land.
所以，当制造你们痔疮的像和毁坏你们田地老鼠的像，并要归荣耀给以色列的 神。或者他向你们和你们的 神，并你们的田地，把手放轻些。

你们为何硬着心像埃及人和法老一样呢？ 神在埃及人中间行奇事，埃及人岂不释放以色列人，他们就去了吗？

现在你们应当造一辆新车，将两只未曾负轭、有乳的母牛套在车上，使牛犊回家去，离开母牛。
撒上6:8
And take of the LORD, and lay it upon the ; and put the of gold, which ye return him for a offering, in a by the side ; and send it away, that it may go.
把耶和华的约柜放在车上，将所献赔罪的金物装在匣子里放在柜旁，将柜送去。
撒上6:9
And see, if it up by the way of his own coast to Bethshemesh, then he done us this great evil: but if not, then we shall know that it is not his hand that us: it was a chance that happened to us.
你们要看看：车若直行以色列的境界到伯示麦去，这大灾就是耶和华降在我们身上的；若不然，便可以知道不是他的手击打我们，是我们偶然遇见的。”
撒上6:10
And the men did so; and took two , and tied them to the , and shut up their at home:
非利士人就这样行，将两只有乳的母牛套在车上，将牛犊关在家里，

把耶和华的约柜和装金老鼠并金痔疮像的匣子都放在车上。
撒上6:12
And the took the straight way to the way of Bethshemesh, and went along the highway, as they went, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left; and the lords of the went after them the border of Bethshemesh.
牛直行大道，往伯示麦去，一面走一面叫，不偏左右。非利士的首领跟在后面，直到伯示麦的境界。
撒上6:13
And they of Bethshemesh were their in the valley: and they lifted up their eyes, and saw the ark, and to see it.
伯示麦人正在平原收割麦子，举目看见约柜，就欢喜了。
撒上6:14
And the cart came into the field of , a Bethshemite, and stood there, where there was a great stone: and they the wood of the cart, and offered the a burnt offering the LORD.
车到了伯示麦人约书亚的田间，就站住了。在那里有一块大磐石，他们把车劈了，将两只母牛献给耶和华为燔祭。
撒上6:15
And the took down the ark of the LORD, and the that was with it, the of gold were, and put them on the great stone: and the men of Bethshemesh offered burnt offerings and the same day the LORD.
利未人将耶和华的约柜和装金物的匣子拿下来，放在大磐石上。当日，伯示麦人将燔祭和平安祭献给耶和华。

And when the five lords of the had seen it, they returned to the same day.
非利士人的五个首领看见，当日就回以革伦去了。
撒上6:17
And these are the golden which the Philistines returned for a offering the LORD; for one, for one, for Askelon one, for one, for one;
非利士人献给耶和华作赔罪的金痔疮像就是这些：一个是为亚实突，一个是为迦萨，一个是为亚实基伦，一个是为迦特，一个是为以革伦。
撒上6:18
And the golden mice, according to the number of all the cities of the Philistines belonging to the five lords, both of fenced cities, and of country villages, even unto the great stone of , they set down the ark of the LORD: which stone unto this day in the field of , the Bethshemite.
金老鼠的数目是照非利士五个首领的城邑，就是坚固的城邑和乡村，以及大磐石。这磐石是放耶和华约柜的，到今日还在伯示麦人约书亚的田间。

And he the men of Bethshemesh, because they had looked into the ark of the LORD, even he of the people fifty thousand and and ten men: and the people , because the LORD had many of the people with a great .
耶和华因伯示麦人擅观他的约柜，就击杀了他们七十人，那时有五万人在那里（原文作“七十人加五万人”）。百姓因耶和华大大击杀他们，就哀哭了。

And the men of Bethshemesh said, Who is able to stand before this holy LORD God? and to whom shall he go up from us?
伯示麦人说：“谁能在耶和华这圣洁的 神面前侍立呢？这约柜可以从我们这里送到谁那里去呢？”
撒上6:21
And they sent to the of Kirjathjearim, saying, The Philistines have brought again the ark of the LORD; come ye down, and fetch it up to you.
于是打发人去见基列耶琳的居民说：“非利士人将耶和华的约柜送回来了，你们下来将约柜接到你们那里去吧！”
