And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD delivered them into the hand of the forty years.
以色列人又行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，耶和华将他们交在非利士人手中四十年。
士13:2

And the angel of the LORD appeared the woman, and said her, now, , and not: but conceive, .
耶和华的使者向那妇人显现，对她说：“向来你不怀孕，不生育，如今你必怀孕，生一个儿子。
士13:4
Now therefore , I pray , and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any thing:
所以你当谨慎，清酒浓酒都不可喝，一切不洁之物也不可吃。
士13:5
For, lo, conceive, ; and no shall come on his head: for the child shall be a God from the : and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the .
你必怀孕，生一个儿子，不可用剃头刀剃他的头，因为这孩子一出胎就归 神作拿细耳人。他必起首拯救以色列人脱离非利士人的手。”
士13:6
Then the woman came and told her husband, saying, A man of God came me, and his was like the of of God, very terrible: but I asked him not he was, neither told he me his name:
妇人就回去对丈夫说：“有一个神人到我面前来，他的相貌如 神使者的相貌，甚是可畏。我没有问他从哪里来，他也没有将他的名告诉我，
士13:7
But he said me, , conceive, ; and now drink no wine nor strong drink, neither eat any thing: for the child shall be a to God from the to the day of his death.
却对我说：'你要怀孕，生一个儿子，所以清酒浓酒都不可喝，一切不洁之物也不可吃，因为这孩子从出胎一直到死，必归 神作拿细耳人。'”
士13:8
Then the LORD, and said, O my Lord, let the man of God which send come again unto us, and teach us what we shall the child that shall be born.
玛挪亚就祈求耶和华说：“主啊，求你再差遣那神人到我们这里来，好指教我们怎样待这将要生的孩子。”
士13:9
And God the voice of ; and the angel of God came again unto the woman as she sat in the field: but her husband was not with her.
神应允玛挪亚的话。妇人正坐在田间的时候， 神的使者又到她那里，她丈夫玛挪亚却没有同她在一处。
士13:10
And the woman , and ran, and her husband, and said unto him, , the man appeared unto me, that came unto me the other day.
妇人急忙跑去告诉丈夫说：“那日到我面前来的人，又向我显现。”
士13:11
And arose, and went after his wife, and came to the man, and said unto him, Art thou the man that unto the woman? And he said, I am.
玛挪亚起来跟随他的妻来到那人面前，对他说：“与这妇人说话的就是你吗？”他说：“是我。”
士13:12
And Manoah said, Now let words come to pass. How shall we order the child, and how shall we him?
玛挪亚说：“愿你的话应验。我们当怎样待这孩子，他后来当怎样呢？”
士13:13
And the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, Of all that I said unto the woman let her .
耶和华的使者对玛挪亚说：“我告诉妇人的一切事，她都当谨慎。
士13:14
She may not eat of any thing that of the , neither let her drink wine or strong drink, nor eat any thing: all that I commanded her let her observe.
葡萄树所结的都不可吃，清酒浓酒都不可喝，一切不洁之物也不可吃。凡我所吩咐的，她都当遵守。”
士13:15
And Manoah said unto the angel of the LORD, I pray , let us , until we shall have made ready a kid for .
玛挪亚对耶和华的使者说：“求你容我们款留你，好为你预备一只山羊羔。”
士13:16
And the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, Though thou me, I will not eat of bread: and if thou offer a burnt offering, thou must offer it unto the LORD. For Manoah knew not that he was of the LORD.
耶和华的使者对玛挪亚说：“你虽然款留我，我却不吃你的食物，你若预备燔祭，就当献与耶和华。”原来玛挪亚不知道他是耶和华的使者。
士13:17
And Manoah said unto the angel of the LORD, What is name, that when come to pass we may do honour?
玛挪亚对耶和华的使者说：“请将你的名告诉我，到你话应验的时候，我们好尊敬你。”
士13:18
And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Why thou thus after my name, seeing it is secret?
耶和华的使者对他说：“你何必问我的名？我名是奇妙的。”
士13:19
So Manoah took a kid with a meat offering, and offered it upon a rock unto the LORD: and the angel did wonderously; and Manoah and his wife looked on.
玛挪亚将一只山羊羔和素祭，在磐石上献与耶和华。使者行奇妙的事，玛挪亚和他的妻观看：
士13:20
For it came to pass, when the flame went up toward heaven from off the , that the angel of the LORD the flame of the . And Manoah and his wife looked on it, and fell on their faces to the ground.
见火焰从坛上往上升，耶和华的使者在坛上的火焰中也升上去了。玛挪亚和他的妻看见，就俯伏于地。
士13:21
But the angel of the LORD did no more appear to Manoah and to his wife. Then Manoah knew that he was of the LORD.
耶和华的使者不再向玛挪亚和他的妻显现，玛挪亚才知道他是耶和华的使者。
士13:22
And Manoah said unto his wife, We shall surely die, because we have seen God.
玛挪亚对他的妻说：“我们必要死，因为看见了 神。”
士13:23
But his wife said unto him, If the LORD were pleased to kill us, he would not have received a burnt offering and a meat offering at our hands, neither would he have us all these things, nor would as at this time have told us such things as these.
他的妻却对他说：“耶和华若要杀我们，必不从我们手里收纳燔祭和素祭，并不将这一切事指示我们，今日也不将这些话告诉我们。”
士13:24
And the woman bare a son, and called his name : and the child grew, and the LORD him.
后来妇人生了一个儿子，给他起名叫参孙。孩子长大，耶和华赐福与他。
士13:25
And the Spirit of the LORD began to move him at times in the camp of between and .
