And the chief fathers of the families of the children of , the son of , the son of , of the families of the sons of Joseph, came near, and before , and before the princes, the chief fathers of the children of Israel:
约瑟的后裔，玛拿西的孙子玛吉的儿子基列，他子孙中的诸族长来到摩西和作首领的以色列人族长面前，
民36:2
And they said, The LORD commanded my lord to give the land for an by lot to the children of Israel: and my lord was commanded by the LORD to give the of our brother his daughters.
说：“耶和华曾吩咐我主，拈阄分地给以色列人为业，我主也受了耶和华的吩咐，将我们兄弟西罗非哈的产业分给他的众女儿。
民36:3
And if they be married to any of the sons of the other tribes of the children of Israel, then shall their be taken from the of our fathers, and shall be put to the of the tribe they are received: so shall it be taken from the lot of our inheritance.
她们若嫁以色列别支派的人，就必将我们祖宗所遗留的产业加在她们丈夫支派的产业中。这样，我们拈阄所得的产业就要减少了。
民36:4
And when the of the children of Israel shall be, then shall their inheritance be put the inheritance of the tribe they are received: so shall their inheritance be taken away from the inheritance of the tribe of our fathers.
到了以色列人的禧年，这女儿的产业就必加在她们丈夫支派的产业上。这样，我们祖宗支派的产业就减少了。”
民36:5
And commanded the children of Israel according to the word of the LORD, saying, The tribe of the sons of Joseph said well.
摩西照耶和华的话吩咐以色列人说：“约瑟支派的人说得有理。
民36:6
This is the thing which the LORD command concerning the daughters of , saying, Let them marry to whom they think best; only to the family of the tribe of their father shall they marry.
论到西罗非哈的众女儿，耶和华这样吩咐说：'她们可以随意嫁人，只是要嫁同宗支派的人。'
民36:7
So shall not the inheritance of the children of Israel remove from tribe to tribe: for every one of the children of Israel shall keep himself to the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers.
这样，以色列人的产业就不从这支派归到那支派，因为以色列人要各守各祖宗支派的产业。
民36:8
And every daughter, that an inheritance in any tribe of the children of Israel, shall be wife one of the family of the tribe of her father, that the children of Israel may enjoy every man the inheritance of his fathers.
凡在以色列支派中得了产业的女子，必作同宗支派人的妻，好叫以色列人各自承受他祖宗的产业。
民36:9
Neither shall the inheritance remove from one tribe to another tribe; but every one of the tribes of the children of Israel shall keep himself to his own inheritance.
这样，他们的产业就不从这支派归到那支派，因为以色列支派的人，要各守各的产业。”
民36:10

耶和华怎样吩咐摩西，西罗非哈的众女儿就怎样行。
民36:11

西罗非哈的女儿玛拉、得撒、曷拉、密迦、挪阿，都嫁了他们伯叔的儿子。
民36:12
And they were married into the families of the sons of the son of Joseph, and their inheritance remained in the tribe of the family of their father.
她们嫁入约瑟儿子玛拿西子孙的族中，她们的产业仍留在同宗支派中。
民36:13
